Lindsey Gleason
Lindsey Gleason (she/her)

President for Fall Semester

Lindsey Gleason is a senior from Rochester Hills, Michigan. She is a PitE major specializing in Sustainable and Urban Food Systems. She is also pursuing an Accelerated Masters of Science Degree in Environmental Justice at University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS). Her love for nature stems from her childhood in Georgia, spending lots of time outside catching bugs, playing in the nearby river, and growing veggies in her family garden! Outside of Eta, she works as a tour guide for the University of Michigan, so you may see her leading a tour group around campus—feel free to say hi!! In her free time, Lindsey enjoys crafting, thrifting, and going to concerts!

Brianna Jarvis
Brianna Jarvis (they/them)

President for Winter Semester

Brianna Jarvis is a graduate from Grand Isle, Vermont and was our President for the Winter 2026 semester. They got their degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Biodiversity with a minor in Creative Writing this May. Their passion for nature is inspired by where they grew up, near the lake and mountains in Vermont. Brianna's professional interests revolve around the conservation of species and habitats, creative writing, community organizing, and environmental justice. Outside of Eta, Brianna enjoys writing, linoprinting, and hiking!

Harrison Stelling
Harrison Stelling (he/him)

Vice President of Communications

Harrison Stelling is a senior from Southlake, Texas. He has dual majors in Organizational Studies and Program in the Environment with a minor in Business. Harrison's academic interests focus on sustainable business strategy and corporate responsibility, exploring how businesses can drive sustainable change. His interest in sustainability grew from his passion for thrifting, which sparked his appreciation for reducing waste and promoting environmentally conscious practices. Beyond his academic interests, Harrison enjoys rock climbing, listening to music, and spending time with other Etas.

Chiaki Hada (she/her)

Communications Chair of Internal Affairs

Chiaki Hada is a junior from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a PitE major specializing in Conservation Biology, with a minor in Energy Science & Policy. Having grown up obsessed with marine biology and birdwatching, she built a lifelong love for the environment and protecting it. Academically, she is especially interested in fieldwork related to ornithology and preserving native species. When not spending time with other Etas, Chiaki enjoys making jewelry, collecting old stamps, handwriting letters, and thrifting!

Flannery Streiff
Flannery Streiff (she/her)

Communications Chair of Public Relations

Flannery Streiff is a Senior from Boise, Idaho majoring in Program in the Environment with a minor in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences. She is also pursuing an Accelerated Master's of Science from the School for Environment and Sustainability at U-M, dual specializing in Environmental Policy and Environmental Justice. Her interest in the environment began growing up in Idaho, where she became involved in environmental activism and decided she wanted to pursue a career in environmental policy. Outside of school, she likes creating art and hanging out with other Etas.

Saniya Akins
Saniya Akins (she/her)

Vice President of Programming

Saniya Akins, a junior from Macomb, MI, is currently pursuing a B.S. with PiTE and a minor in Geospatial Science. From humble beginnings with succulents on her windowsill, to developing a garden, Saniya found her passion for the environment by observing the interactions between plants and their dependents. She aims to foster and protect this essential relationship through the concentrations of conservation, urban planning, landscape architecture, and community involvement throughout her academic and future career. When she isn't found outside, she passes her time baking, thrifting, playing the guitar, and hanging out with friends.

Elena Granados
Elena Granados (she/her)

Programming Chair

Elena Granados is a junior from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is studying Environmental Sciences and Anthropology, with the intent to pursue a career in global sustainable development. Her specific interests include hydrology, urban planning, and environmental policy. Elena's passion for environmental issues stems from growing up next to the Chesapeake Bay and has only been strengthened by her time at Michigan and in Eta. Outside of Eta, Elena enjoys running with MRun and exploring Ann Arbor's parks.

Grace Humes
Grace Humes (she/her)

Chair of Professional Outreach

Grace Humes is a senior from St. Joseph, Michigan. She is majoring in Environmental Sciences and minoring in Energy Systems and Policy. She is a part of the Erb Fellows Institute and is interested in energy justice, urban planning, and grid modernization. Outside of Eta, Grace enjoys long walks, reading, hiking, and being in the sunshine!

Sawyer Cowles
Sawyer Cowles (she/her)

Vice President of Social

Sawyer Cowles is a senior from Littleton, Colorado. She is a PitE major with minors in EEB and Earth Sciences. She grew up hiking, camping, and learning about the importance of the natural world, and has developed a passion for anything outdoors. She hopes to work in ecological or wildlife conservation, and is especially interested in environmental education. Outside of Eta, Sawyer enjoys cooking, music, and spending time with friends!

Maguire Topping
Maguire Topping (he/him)

Social Chair

Maguire Topping is a senior from South Lyon Michigan. He is an ecology, evolution, and biodiversity major with a PITE minor in food and sustainability. He is a member of the Biodiversity Scholars Program and is conducting research on temperate woody plants through the use of herbarium specimens. He enjoys hiking, foraging, and gardening in his free time.

Lena Reeves
Lena Reeves (she/her)

Vice President of Recruitment

Lena Reeves is a junior from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is a PitE and Spanish major with interests in ecosystem ecology, conservation, and sustainable business. Her love for the outdoors started in 6th grade when she went to school at the zoo! Outside of Eta, she works as an RC admissions assistant and as a research assistant in the Classen Lab. In her free time, Lena loves running, reading, and junk journaling!

Alex Edwards
Alex Edwards (he/him)

Recruitment Chair

Alex Edwards is a junior from La Grange, Illinois. He is an Ecology, Evolution, & Biodiversity and Program in the Environment double major, with a minor in Geospatial Science, and a Graham Sustainability Scholar. Growing up, he spent all his time outdoors: digging in the backyard, playing in the woods, and swimming in lakes. He is interested in aquatic ecology and biogeochemistry, hoping to pursue research in inland aquatic systems in the Great Lakes region. In his free time, Alex enjoys exploring Ann Arbor's natural areas, soaking up the sun on the Diag, and spending quality time with other Eta members.

Hudson Thomas is a junior from San Antonio, TX, double majoring in EEB and PitE. His passion lies in conserving the natural ecosystems in our local communities. After graduation he intends to pursue a graduate degree in conservation research. In his free time he enjoys reading, listening to music, going on hikes, and FaceTiming his dogs!

Tommy Simon is a senior from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a PitE and Spanish major who hopes to work at the intersection of environmental health, safety, and justice. She was drawn to these fields after growing up surrounded by Michigan's unique natural beauty, as well as observing its challenges. In her free time, she enjoys local concerts and fashion events.

Sam Jurek is a Junior from Rochester, Michigan. He is a double major in Program in the Environment and Earth and Environmental Science. He is interested in urban sustainability and sustainable business. Outside of the classroom, Sam enjoys recreational sports, going to the gym, and listening to music.
