Gulzar Attari
Gulzar Attari (she/her)

President

Gulzar Attari is a senior from Oakland, California. She is an Environment major specializing in Energy Systems and Decarbonization with a minor in Business. She is an Erb Institute Business and Sustainability Fellow, and is very interested in emissions regulations, carbon accounting, and carbon capture! Gulzar's passion for the environment grew from her love of California's natural beauty and experiences with water insecurity. Outside of Epsilon Eta, Gulzar enjoys hiking, thrifting, traveling, and swimming!

Reese Owens
Reese Owens (she/her)

VP of Communications

Reese Owens is a junior from Traverse City, MI. She is a PitE major with a minor in Water in the Environment. Her love of the environment is rooted in her childhood growing up on Lake Michigan. The protection and maintenance of the Great Lakes systems are issues she is passionate about and plans to take into her career after graduation. Reese's academic interests include water infrastructure, Great Lakes policy, and sustainable food systems. Beyond Eta, Reese loves to run, cook, and spend as much time outside as possible!

McKenna Simcox
McKenna Simcox (she/her)

McKenna Simcox is a junior from Rockville, Maryland. She is studying Environmental Sciences with a minor in Urban studies. After graduation, she hopes to work in sustainable urban planning, specializing in cross-country public transit. She is passionate about environmental conservation and enjoys volunteering and supporting local environmental initiatives. Outside of Eta, McKenna enjoys art, swimming, and hanging out with cats, Mini, Lulu, and Oliver!

Emma Nelson
Emma Nelson (she/her)

Communications Chair of Public Relations

Emma Nelson is a junior from Leland, Michigan. She is double majoring in PitE and Environmental Sciences. She grew up in a rural area surrounded by lakes and forests, and has developed a passion for protecting natural areas and learning about sustainability. Emma's academic interests center around freshwater management/conservation, forestry, and community engagement through volunteering and other learning activities. In her free time, she enjoys reading, rock collecting, visiting new coffee shops with friends, and thrifting!

Megan Kennedy

Vice President of Programming

Megan Kennedy is a junior from Rochester Hills, Ml, pursuing a B.S. in PitE and a minor in EEB and an Erb Fellow. Her passion for the environment stems from her childhood, growing up surrounded by nature and an entomologist mother. This love has only grown through her work with invasive species and the engaging classes that she takes. Megan is particularly interested in sustainability and invasive species management! Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys journaling, hiking, traveling, &, of course, napping.

Programming Chair

Haley Guerra is a junior from Birmingham, Michigan. She is majoring in Business Administration with plans to minor in Sustainability. She is passionate about integrating environmental care into corporate strategy and communications. Haley's love for the environment stems from growing up hiking with her family, and was cemented by her fellow Etas. Personally, Haley also loves music, cooking, and checking off visits to every coffee shop in Ann Arbor!

Emma Thomson
Emma Thomson (she/her)

Vice President of Social

Emma Thomson is a senior from Livonia, Michigan. She is a PitE major and EEB minor specializing in conservation biology. Her passion for the environment has been enhanced through fieldwork experiences at the University of Michigan Biological Station! She is interested in water law and community engagement towards a more sustainable future. Emma enjoys birdwatching, spending time with etas, and finding a good hammock spot on campus!

Ava Morisi
Ava Morisi (she/her)

Social Chair

Ava Morisi is a junior from Birmingham, Michigan. She is double majoring in PitE and Organizational Studies on the pre-law track, and is an Erb Institute Undergraduate Fellow. Her passion from the environment stems from her childhood summers traveling the Pacific Northwest in an RV with her grandparents. Outside of Eta, she loves traveling, being outdoors, swimming, music, and spending time with friends and family!

Lindsey Gleason
Lindsey Gleason (she/her)

Vice President of Recruitment

Lindsey Gleason is a junior from Rochester Hills, Michigan. She is a PitE major with an interest in urban planning, restoration ecology, and sustainable agriculture. Her love for nature stems from her childhood spending lots of time outside catching fireflies and hiking with her family! Outside of Eta, she works as a tour guide for the University of Michigan, so you may see her leading a tour group around campus! Feel free to say hi!! In her free time, Lindsey enjoys reading, journaling, and going to tons of concerts!

Micah Heerema
Micah Heerema (she/her)

Recruitment Chair

Micah Heerema is a sophomore from Grand Rapids Michigan and is majoring in Spanish and Pite! She has been curious and passionate about nature and the environment her whole life and is excited to continue to learn. Her academic interests focus on environmental conservation and indigenous scientific knowledge. Outside of Eta, Micah loves hiking, rock climbing and swimming in cold water!

Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Brianna Jarvis is a senior from Grand Isle, Vermont. They are an Ecology, Evolution, and Biodiversity major with a minor in Creative Writing. Their passion for nature is inspired by where they grew up, near the lake and mountains in Vermont. Brianna's academic interests revolve around the conservation of species and habitats and environmental justice. Outside of Eta, Brianna enjoys writing, photography, and hiking!

Jack Droelle

Committee Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Jack Droelle is a senior from Shelby Township, Michigan. He is a PitE and Sociology major with minors in Public Policy and French Language. Jack was fortunate to grow up visiting northern Michigan every summer where he developed a deep love for the outdoors and a passion for protecting the environment. His academic interests include environmental justice and urbanism. In his free time, Jack likes to knit and experiment with new coffee and matcha recipes.

Harrison Stelling is a Junior from Southlake, Texas. He has dual majors in Organizational Studies and Program in the Environment with a minor in Business. Harrison's academic interests focus on corporate social responsibility and environmental consulting, exploring how businesses can drive sustainable change. His interest in sustainability grew from his passion for thrifting, which sparked his appreciation for reducing waste and promoting environmentally conscious practices. Beyond his academic interests, Harrison enjoys rock climbing, listening to music, and spending time with other Etas.
